How we choose
We track public security disclosures and firmware releases and date every verdict on our Security Status page. A recommendation can change when new advisories appear, so check the date.
Buying safely
- Buy from the maker's site or a reseller listed there. Unauthorized channels were the source of 2026's Ledger implant thefts (BleepingComputer).
- Reject any device that arrives set up or with pre-printed recovery words.
- Update to the minimum firmware above, then create a brand-new seed.
